eVintage Society's Blog Tag Wednesday!

VINTAGE OR BUST!~Blog Tag Wednesday~Bottoms Up!
August 6th, 2008

Its Blog Tag Wednesday at the eVintage Society!. Separates are an easy way to add a little vintage to your every day casual wardrobe. Lets talk skirts! Let’s see what you’ve got!

1) Show us your favorite skirt in your inventory!

This vintage 50's full cotton skirt with a KNITTING novelty print! (Cool thing~ I have an identical one to this but in a different size and colorway in my store!)

2)Favorite skirt length to sell? Mini, knee or maxi, and why?

I love novelty print 50's skirts, usually knee-length. Why? Because, that's why.

3)Favorite to wear?

Same as above, actually. Just 'cuz I likes 'em.

4)Favorite skirt silhouette? Full, circle, pencil, mini, balloon, maxi, etc… what look suits you?

Full circle skirts! Mini? Ha hahaha...that's a good one. I wouldn't torture the world with that frightening display.

5)Thoughts on slips? Some never wear them, some never would be seen without. How crucial is a slip under a skirt?

I suppose if you want the world to see your naughty bits, then go sans slip, why not. I personally hate wearing half slips, for fear of it migrating south to my ankles. Not such a cute look when you're standing in line buying stamps.

eVintage Society's Blog Tag Wednesday. Late As Always.

VINTAGE OR BUST!~Blog Tag Wednesday~ Tropical Tease!
July 23rd, 2008

Its Blog Tag Wednesday at the eVintage Society! Summer is the perfect time to take a holiday to a tropical locale! Meanwhile, wearing Hawaiian and exotic prints in vintage can tide you over til you can afford that plane ticket. Let’s get tropical!

1) Show us your favorite Hawaiian or tropical print in your inventory!

This vintage Malia sundress rules because: A) it's an awesome grass green color that is odd and wonderful and B) heart shaped flowers. I said HEART. SHAPED. FLOWERS.

2)Favorite era for Hawaiian? 40’s exotic gowns, 50s bombshell sarongs, 60s printed shifts or 70’s Hawaiian halter maxis?

Half 40's and half 50's full sundresses. So there.

3)Favorite exotic destination if money were no object?

Money IS no object when you're filthy rich and gorgeous like myself, did you not know that? Not buying it, eh? Damn. Well if I could ever swing it, which I won't, it'd be a whirlwind adventure to Tahiti.

4)Favorite exotic destination on a real-world budget?

The Jersey Shore is exotic, isn't it?

5)Best vacation ever?

Best pre-family trip was living in England for a year. Best after family trip was fancy pants b&b in New England. It was so...New England-y.

2) Rhinestones on daywear? Yes or no?
Hells belles YEAH! Why not?

3) Favorite beaded bag or jewelry in your inventory or personal collection?

This really freaking awesome vintage Sarah Cov bracelet! It's covered in colorful stones and confetti shapes. Very mid century modern and now I wish I was keeping it and not selling it!

4) Colored rhinestones or clear, which do you prefer?

I'm so white bread, I really like clear rhinestones!

5) Cubic zirconia, costume rhinestones or REAL diamonds? Be honest!! Which will you wear?

Costume rhinestones, hands down! I'm cheap. Oh yeah, I said I'm cheap.

eVintage Society's Blog Tag Wednesday!

VINTAGE OR BUST!~Blog Tag Wednesday~ Animalize!
June 18th, 2008

Its Blog Tag Wednesday at the eVintage Society!. Animals...we love ‘em, we love to wear ‘em! Prints, that is. Show us your animal prints!

I've been tagged by Empress Jade Vintage!

1) Show us your favorite piece of animal print apparel in your inventory!

I only have one animal print right now, which is odd, but it's a cool one I think. This sucka is on Etsy~ a zebra print 80's shell top:

2) What is your favorite animal print to wear & why?

Overdone but always classic~leopard of course! There's nothing quite as awesome as leopard prints from the 50's and early 60's.

3) Favorite to sell?

Again with the leopard. It's timeless and always popular, so it's almost always a hot seller. Sellout, much?

4) Favorite pet and best pet story?

The last pet we had was a goldfish named George that ended up going down the porcelain express, as they always do. He was a carny fish after all.

5) Scared of animals? Which one scares you the most & why?

Animals and I are not amigos. I'm not really an animal fan, sorry (not really). Is it embarrassing to say that I hate, despise and loathe fish? I can't swim with them, no lakes or ponds for me thanks! I've had nightmares of swimming with fish, where they got caught in my bathing suit and were flapping around. Eew.

6) Favorite animal to visit at the zoo or to collect images of?

Like I go to the zoo...or collect animal pictures. Ha! Although I do enjoy the mean ones, like lions and such and kind of secretly hope to see them attack. Is that disturbing and wrong? Probably.

Until next Wednesday! Back to you, eVintage Society!
