Atomic Tuesday

It's the first Atomic Tuesday of the year! Exciting, indeed. Today I found not 1, but 2 different vintage chunks-o-fabric, both from the same seller on Etsy, both with atomic prints but in 2 different colorways. And they're both freaking sweet.

First, there's this Vintage 50's Pink & Blue Atomic Starbursts Fabric, and I know how much you guys dig the pink and all!...

Or you could go with this Vintage 50's Aqua and Yellow Atomic Starbursts Fabric. I mean, really. How could you not love? I mean, really. Aqua. And. Yellow.

Aqua Blue Heaven Friday: Deco The Halls

Welcome to (not-quite) Aqua Blue Heaven Friday! Today's vintage pick isn't aqua. But there is blue in it and there is green in it, so if you mash 'em together in your head, they'll make aqua. Ish. Why no aqua today? What's it to ya?, that's why no aqua today. Plus, you'll drop dead with love when you see today's pick, so much so that you won't even care that I'm breaking today's theme rules. You know, if I had theme rules.

Behold! The kickass-ness that is called this Vintage 30's Art Deco Fabric!

Is it not too cool? It's a big hunka chunka piece-o-fabric too, so you could make all sorts of stuff to class up your joint! Curtains? Nah. Pillows? Nah. Whisky bottle cozies? Ding ding ding! We have a winner! Beer bottle cozies would also be accepted, but man, how gauche.

Vintage fabric currently available from Northstar Vintage.

Way-Out Wednesday: Man Caves Need Curtains Too

Photobucket

This week's Way-Out Wednesday is all for the guys! Well, mostly. What I'm talking about is novelty print fabric~ but manly! *Do the Tool Time grunt here* While I know we female types really dig our girlie fabric and cutesy-tootsy prints, what about the guys? Don't their Man Caves and Dens of Testosterone and Rumpus Rooms de Machismo deserve to be well-decorated too? I'm sure The Mister wouldn't want curtains with, say, ballerinas on them. You know what they say: real men don't wear pink. Or cook. Or eat quiche. Or hang ballerina-print curtains. No! They want their curtains to reflect their inner cave man. You know, I'm assuming.

So while today's theme may not necessarily be "way out", I think men and women alike will appreciate this slightly kooky fabric that's geared mostly towards the... rugged woodsmen?...or whatever manly job men dream about having...in every man.
